Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the InstallerLab website, InstallerLab account services, InstallerLab Analytics and related online features. By using these services, you agree to these terms.

1. InstallerLab Desktop

InstallerLab Desktop is a developer tool for creating Windows distributions and installers. Local desktop functionality is separate from the web account and Analytics services unless a feature explicitly requires an online service.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account. You must provide accurate information and must not impersonate another person or attempt to claim a TrackID, benefit or entitlement that does not belong to you.

3. Google Sign-In

Google Sign-In is offered as an authentication option. Using Google Sign-In does not grant InstallerLab access to your Google Drive files. Your use of Google authentication may also be subject to Google's own terms and privacy policies.

4. InstallerLab Analytics

InstallerLab Analytics is an optional online service linked to projects through TrackIDs. It can process technical installation telemetry that the project is configured to send, including installation, uninstallation, errors and environment information.

You are responsible for deciding whether to enable Analytics in software you distribute and for complying with any privacy, disclosure or consent requirements that apply to your own users and jurisdiction.

5. Registration and account tiers

A registered free account currently supports one Analytics application. Supporter accounts may support up to five Analytics applications, and PRO accounts may support up to ten. The free tier is intended to provide the same core Analytics dashboard for its permitted application count; higher tiers primarily expand account capacity.

InstallerLab Desktop remains separate from these account limits. Account tier limits apply to online Analytics services, not to ordinary local use of the desktop application.

6. Supporter and PRO benefits

Supporter and PRO benefits may be linked to an account through an approved entitlement or one-time claim process. Claim codes and QR-based benefits may be single-use and may be revoked if they were issued in error, obtained fraudulently, duplicated without authorization or otherwise abused.

7. Analytics history

The current Analytics service is designed around a rolling history of up to 24 months. Older event data may be deleted automatically as the retention window advances. InstallerLab does not guarantee indefinite retention of Analytics data.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use InstallerLab services to attack, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer access controls, submit malicious data, probe private infrastructure, bypass account limits, interfere with other users or use another person's TrackID or entitlement without permission.

9. Availability and changes

Online services may be changed, suspended or temporarily unavailable for maintenance, security, capacity or technical reasons. Features, limits and workflows may evolve as InstallerLab develops. Reasonable efforts will be made to avoid unnecessary disruption, but continuous availability is not guaranteed.

10. User content and project data

You retain responsibility for your applications, installers, project configuration, branding, files and any data you choose to package or distribute. InstallerLab does not grant you rights to third-party software, trademarks, files or content that you do not otherwise have permission to use.

11. Intellectual property

InstallerLab and its original project materials remain subject to their applicable copyright and licensing terms. References to Microsoft, Windows, WiX, B4J, B4X, Google and other third-party products or trademarks are for technical identification only and do not imply endorsement.

12. No warranty

InstallerLab and its online services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for testing installers and packages before distributing them, especially on production systems.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, InstallerLab's developer and contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or business losses resulting from use of the software or online services, including lost data, failed deployments or service interruptions.

14. Suspension or termination

Access to online services may be suspended or terminated where reasonably necessary to protect users, infrastructure or the project, including cases of abuse, fraud, security attacks, repeated policy violations or unlawful activity.

15. Privacy

Your use of the online services is also governed by the InstallerLab Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as InstallerLab evolves. The current version will remain published on this page with its effective date.

Estas Condiciones del Servicio regulan el uso del sitio web de InstallerLab, los servicios de cuenta, InstallerLab Analytics y demás funciones online relacionadas. Al utilizar estos servicios aceptas estas condiciones.

1. InstallerLab Desktop

InstallerLab Desktop es una herramienta para desarrolladores destinada a crear distribuciones e instaladores para Windows. Las funciones locales de escritorio son independientes de la cuenta web y de Analytics, salvo cuando una función indique expresamente que requiere un servicio online.

2. Cuentas

Eres responsable de mantener seguras tus credenciales y de la actividad realizada desde tu cuenta. Debes proporcionar información correcta y no puedes suplantar a otra persona ni intentar reclamar un TrackID, beneficio o entitlement que no te corresponda.

3. Inicio de sesión con Google

Google Sign-In se ofrece como opción de autenticación. Utilizar Google Sign-In no concede a InstallerLab acceso a tus archivos de Google Drive. El uso de la autenticación de Google también puede estar sujeto a las condiciones y políticas de privacidad de Google.

4. InstallerLab Analytics

InstallerLab Analytics es un servicio online opcional vinculado a proyectos mediante TrackIDs. Puede procesar telemetría técnica de instalación que el proyecto esté configurado para enviar, incluida información de instalación, desinstalación, errores y entorno.

Eres responsable de decidir si habilitas Analytics en el software que distribuyes y de cumplir cualquier requisito de privacidad, información o consentimiento aplicable a tus propios usuarios y jurisdicción.

5. Registro y niveles de cuenta

Actualmente una cuenta gratuita registrada admite una aplicación Analytics. Las cuentas Supporter pueden admitir hasta cinco aplicaciones Analytics y las cuentas PRO hasta diez. El nivel gratuito está pensado para ofrecer el mismo dashboard principal dentro de su límite de aplicaciones; los niveles superiores amplían principalmente la capacidad de la cuenta.

InstallerLab Desktop permanece separado de estos límites. Los límites por nivel se aplican a los servicios online de Analytics y no al uso local ordinario de la aplicación de escritorio.

6. Beneficios Supporter y PRO

Los beneficios Supporter y PRO pueden vincularse a una cuenta mediante un entitlement aprobado o un proceso de reclamación de un solo uso. Los códigos y beneficios mediante QR pueden ser de un solo uso y pueden revocarse si fueron emitidos por error, obtenidos mediante fraude, duplicados sin autorización o utilizados de forma abusiva.

7. Historial de Analytics

El servicio actual de Analytics está diseñado alrededor de una ventana móvil de hasta 24 meses. Los eventos más antiguos pueden eliminarse automáticamente a medida que avanza la retención. InstallerLab no garantiza conservación indefinida de los datos Analytics.

8. Uso aceptable

No puedes utilizar los servicios de InstallerLab para atacar, interrumpir, sobrecargar, extraer datos de forma abusiva, intentar saltar controles de acceso, enviar datos maliciosos, sondear infraestructura privada, evadir límites de cuenta, interferir con otros usuarios o utilizar TrackIDs o beneficios ajenos sin permiso.

9. Disponibilidad y cambios

Los servicios online pueden cambiar, suspenderse o quedar temporalmente indisponibles por mantenimiento, seguridad, capacidad o motivos técnicos. Las funciones, límites y flujos pueden evolucionar a medida que InstallerLab se desarrolla. Se procurará evitar interrupciones innecesarias, pero no se garantiza disponibilidad continua.

10. Contenido del usuario y datos de proyectos

Conservas la responsabilidad sobre tus aplicaciones, instaladores, configuración de proyectos, branding, archivos y cualquier dato que decidas empaquetar o distribuir. InstallerLab no te concede derechos sobre software, marcas, archivos o contenidos de terceros que no estés autorizado a utilizar.

11. Propiedad intelectual

InstallerLab y los materiales originales del proyecto permanecen sujetos a sus términos de copyright y licencia aplicables. Las referencias a Microsoft, Windows, WiX, B4J, B4X, Google y otros productos o marcas de terceros se realizan únicamente con fines de identificación técnica y no implican respaldo.

12. Sin garantía

InstallerLab y sus servicios online se proporcionan “tal cual” y “según disponibilidad” en la medida permitida por la ley. Eres responsable de probar los instaladores y paquetes antes de distribuirlos, especialmente en sistemas de producción.

13. Limitación de responsabilidad

En la máxima medida permitida por la legislación aplicable, el desarrollador y los colaboradores de InstallerLab no serán responsables de pérdidas indirectas, incidentales, especiales, consecuenciales o comerciales derivadas del uso del software o servicios online, incluidos pérdida de datos, despliegues fallidos o interrupciones del servicio.

14. Suspensión o terminación

El acceso a los servicios online puede suspenderse o terminarse cuando sea razonablemente necesario para proteger a usuarios, infraestructura o el proyecto, incluidos casos de abuso, fraude, ataques de seguridad, incumplimientos reiterados o actividad ilícita.

15. Privacidad

El uso de los servicios online también está regulado por la Política de Privacidad de InstallerLab.

16. Cambios a estas condiciones

Estas condiciones pueden actualizarse a medida que InstallerLab evolucione. La versión vigente permanecerá publicada en esta página junto con su fecha de vigencia.
